Guru Nanak |

Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the founder of Sikhism and the first of the ten Gurus of the Sikhs. He was born in Rai Bhoi Di Talwandi, now known as Nankana Sahib, near Lahore in present day Pakistan. Before Guru Nanak breathed his last in 1539, his name had travelled not only throughout India, but also far beyond into Arabia, Mesopotamia(Iraq), Ceylon, Afghanistan, Turkey, Burma and Tibet. |

Bibi Nanki was the sister of Baba Nanak. She was five years elder to him. From the very childhood, Bibi Nanki saw in him the light of God but she did not reveal this secret to anyone. She is known as the first disciple of Guru Nanak. |

Mehta Kalu was also known as Kalian Chand, Kalu Rai. Mehta Kalu was a Patwari by profession an accountant of land revenue in the govenment. Mehta Kalu was married to Mata Tripta and they had two children - a daughter called Bibi Nanki and a son called Nanak, founder of Sikhism. |
